S2E (simple2ext) For Galaxy Ace s5830:
As all of us Galaxy Ace s5830 users know, our phone has hardly any internal storage and you are able to install hardly 10 apps!
If you have a rooted Galaxy Ace s5830, then..
If you have a rooted Galaxy Ace s5830, then..
I give you S2E, a app that allows you to install apps, their data and cache onto a partition of your SD card.
Partitioning the your SD card of your Galaxy Ace s5830 to use as Internal Storage:
This app installs a script on your rooted galaxy ace smartphone that allows you to move app, data
and some cache into the sd-ext partition i.e your sd card partition and back.
Supports moving the following into the sd-ext:
1. App, Paid app and Private app
2. Applications data
3. Dalvik and download cache
1. App, Paid app and Private app
2. Applications data
3. Dalvik and download cache
Important:S2E works only with CyanogenMod7, CyanogenMod9 and CyanogenMod10!
Use at your own risk.Make a full backup of your phone onto your sd card and then a backup of your sd card onto your computer.Whilst performing the partitioning your sd card will get formatted!
Partitioning your SD Card on your Galaxy Ace s5830:
- Must have CWM Recovery installed.
- Install S2E
- Reboot your phone in recovery mode.
- Scroll down to Advance
- Select Partition SD Card
- Select the amount of space you want for the partition..1024 mb is more than enough.
- Select swap size as 0
- And your done!!
Configuring S2E on your Galaxy Ace s5830:
- Reboot and open S2E.
- Open options and select the first option and reboot your phone
- Now you should be able to select whatever you want yo move onto your partition.
- Do not select data as moving data to your partition will slow down your apps.
- Reboot and you are now done!!!
great post thanks..
ReplyDeleteshould i move dalvik cache?
Move everything except the data.
Deletei moved some apps, then from settings i selected mount as ext4
ReplyDeletebut it only gave me around 50mb free space, when i check my internal memory it is not showing the 1gb i portioned
how to set this?
Check your memory card,it'll be 1 gb less than it's actual space.
DeleteMaybe some of your apps are system apps..
And you can move the data if you want, but ir might slow down some apps depending on your memory card read\write speed.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI've rooted, installed CWM and flashed the latest PAC ROM, but I can't install S2E. It seems my S5830 is incompatible. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Bop
It's compatible with mine. Check again or just download the apk file from google.
